I want to leave my mark on hip hop. Whether its indirectly in inspiring artists around me or directly with what I do reaching ears across the globe. My goal has always been creating spaces where raw expression is rewarded. When it's all said and done I want community. True unity between artists regardless of the medium we chose to express on.
I create because I can, and therefore should. Activities like singing, rhyming, drawing and painting have become skills as opposed to things humans just do. Ancient civilizations created art and songs for fun. Why not do that in the modern era; because society said not to? I started rapping to pay homage to the pioneers of the art before me and the pure joy I get from it. I recently started painting and find that therapeutic as well. Spreading paint on a canvas is freeing, I find myself being so deliberate while writing raps that the change of pace keeps creation fresh and exciting.
I realized that I want to make art for the rest of my life after my first live show in 2019. The feeling of pure bliss and the escape from reality made me feel alive. The way in which I could use my words to invoke feeling was something I haven't felt before. Since I started releasing music 2 years ago I've created so many relationships and found lifelong friends I couldn't have found without the arts. Overall I dedicate most of my time to creation because its a lot of fun. I enjoy writing and painting so I do it.
